You need the tiny diskette to power on!

This is such a cute little alarm clock! It’s sold by different Chinese vendors. I just happen to have bought this one; it has the seller’s name RayCue printed on the front face — I wish there were a way to cover it or erase it, to make the little gadget more Mac-like. Oh well. It comes with a tiny non-working diskette — make sure you don’t lose it! It’s actually used to power on and off the clock. You insert it into the floppy disk slot to turn on the clock. You wiggle it and take it out to turn off the clock. When first powered on, backlight is off. To toggle the backlight, you just touch the area on top where there’s a right hand graphic. You don’t need to press it; it’s apparently touch-sensitive, something not documented in the tiny instructions booklet. The screen is quite nice; only quirk is the odd space between the 10s and 1s in the temperature display — and, for instance, 80 degrees being shown as 08 0. Backlight brightness is adjusted by a scroll wheel hidden under the front left. Two other hidden buttons on the front set the time (and temperature unit C vs F) and the alarm, respectively. Other than the “RayCue” logo, the whole clock is free of labels and prints. It comes with a set of stickers for you (and me) to apply at will. Even the product label is a sticker. Finally, this is a chargeable little clock. I haven’t tested its battery life yet as I’m using it as a desktop clock (really just for fun and nostalgia). The build quality is excellent, and if your heart so desires, you can actually turn this into a “hackintosh” (assuming it’s legal to do so in your region). (As a matter of fact, Amazon probably wants to upsell you a display and a Rasperry Pi board as a bundle.)
