Très joli seau à compost pour cuisine
Seau à compost en acier inoxydable, blanc, de 5L Un indispensable pour limiter ses déchets dans la poubelle mais qui nécessite d'avoir un vrai composteur à côté (que ce soit un composteur de jardin ou un lombricomposteur de cuisine). ✅ Joli look rétro Il existe des styles modernes en acier brossé lisse ; j'ai opté pour un look un peu plus rétro et je ne regrette pas, le seau est très élégant et très qualitatif. La finition est impeccable (et le seau est suffisamment protégé pour ne pas souffrir des outrages du transport). ✅ 5L : c'est la bonne taille Je m'interrogeai beaucoup sur la taille à choisir pour ce seau : trop grand, et il m'aurait encombré le plan de travail. Trop petit et j'aurai été oblige de faire des allers-retours incessants vers mon composteur de jardin (ce pourquoi j'ai acheté ce seau d'ailleurs). Et bien 5L, c'est la bonne taille pour moi : ni trop grand, ni trop petit. ✅ Sans odeur Le couvercle est muni de 2 filtres, ce qui évite les mauvaises odeurs (même si je laisse pas trop pourrir les épluchures et autres déchets végétaux trop longtemps). 🏁 En conclusion Je recommande à 100% : c'est le seau qui ne dénote pas dans votre cuisine et qui vous permet de gérer vos déchets végétaux pour votre compost.

I got the shiny chrome one. For those who complained that it looks like a little garbage can on their counter, I can only ask whether they looked at the picture because this item looks exactly like the picture! it is winter in the north east United States, so I have no comments to make about the fruit fly problem that other people have had. But all the composters I have looked at have had complaints that fruit flies can get in through the filters. This model comes with two filters in the lid, and I haven’t had to change the filters yet, but I did take the inside one out to look at it. I had no trouble taking it out and no trouble removing it, although it is fairly stiff. I also had a bag of potting soil on my back porch, so I threw about a cup of that into the bottom of the bin and added some dried leaves from my backyard to help the moist vegetable scraps to break down better. I have had the bin on my counter for over a week without emptying it, and I noticed no odor at all. Again, it is winter and I am sure there would be a greater chance of odor in summer, but if that is the case, I would simply empty it more often. I am perfectly happy with my countertop composter. It feels sturdy and is doing a very nice job.

I love this! I never write reviews but thought this was worth it. The size is a standard compost bin size which works well for a family of 4. We use it to collect food scraps for our chickens, and it's easy to dump out for them and so far (1 month in) has held up well to a decent amount of banging and clanging. Extras I love: the grip on the handle:, the extra filter (no smells), the ease of cleaning, and the fact that the lid slides in smoothly without making that cringy metal-on-metal scrape that some other metal compost bins suffer from. I wouldn't change anything about it!

I bought this as a replacement for a ceramic version that was heavy and noisy (lid landing on canister) and keep breaking (3 of them!!) This compost keeper is fantastic! It holds lots of kitchen and houseplant compostables and is lightwieght. The double carbon filters are great. We are using them now due to fruit flies on our tomatos but generally don't need them through the winter. It also looks decent on our countertop.
