Fine art for your fine wine
Let face it, you could decant wine in a bowl if you had to, since you're here you are either serious about wine, or just have to much money to burn. The design of the Mamba is both art and function. When you pour the wine, the long neck design swirls and aerates it. Your wine is ready much faster, and it makes for a very impressive display when done in front of your guest. The tail, is the handle, and pouring is simple, just take is slow the first few times, you can get an air bubble. The draw back is pretty obvious, cleaning and drying this thing is not easy. I normally set it on different sides for an hour each to let water pool and slowly work to towards the neck.

I love my decanter
I've bought my over three years ago and it is still perfect. Be careful if you leave any red wine in it, it will leave a stain. I left red wine for over a week and freaked out... But all is good because I purchased those little ball bearings and lo and behold it cleaned it up!!!! It took a lot of shaking with a mild dish soap - but it Worked.

Stunning, but get the Boa
It’s absolutely beautiful, but I also have the Riedel Boa Decanter and significantly prefer it. The Mamba needs to be tilted at an angle when you fill it, otherwise the wine chokes at the neck and will quickly fill up and overflow. I also think the Boa looks cooler.

Stunning wine decanter.
If you love wine, you will love love love this decanter. We collect decanters and this is by far the most beautiful and interesting of the bunch. Word to the wise, practice using it with water - part of the magic is how you have to twist / pour.
