It's super soft, silky, stretchy, and I would imagine very comfy. This is a great shirt for layering underneath other shirts in the cold weather. I can't speak on the sun protection just yet, as we haven't had the opportunity to spend time outdoors just yet. I will say that this shirt feels differently than other rash guard, sun protection shirts I've felt. That's not to say it doesn't work, it just feels different. It looks just like the photos, the color is exactly as it appears, and the shirt is true to size. My 8 year old likes the shirt a lot. It arrived yesterday and he insisted on wearing it to school today, even though it was 85°. He said he didn't get too hot in it, so that's good. I would recommend this shirt. It's a good quality, cute, comfortable long sleeve hooded T-shirt for a good price and my son loves it. That's a win in my book!
