2nd Samsonite Bag Same Model Better Than The Original

Before I get this review started Id like to say that if anyone thought when buying this bag they where getting genuine leather at the $100 price point they must be using some kind of drugs. Some kind of serious, powerful, brain damaging drugs. With that out of the way, this is my second Samsonite Expandable Briefcase. 3 years prior to purchasing this bag I purchased the original Samsonite Expandable Briefcase. The original bag was great. I used it at least 6 days a week for 3 years often carrying around 25lbs of material (laptop making up most of the weight ). Of course as the years piled on the case lost its appeal as with most products. I loved the functionality and overall size of the briefcase. Most similar cases where either too small, didn't have enough compartments or just ridiculously retro designed. My favorite feature of all would have to be the middle zipper which makes the whole briefcase expandable. Fast forward and now I have this new fresh briefcase and man for the most part its an improvement over the original design. First the inner lining of the bag is now a light grey color making it easier to look into. Before it was just a black windbreaker material. Often times I had to literally flip the bag upside down to find some of my small pencils and things because I couldn't see them. They also added an additional divider in the back compartment as well as a an additional zipped sleeve and a weird Velcro compartment that can unzip from the bottom for whatever reason. The interior also seems to be made out of a more cleanable stain resistant material. They also changed the bags zippers from a shiny polished metal to black making the bag more conservative ( perfect for business ). Last but not least they removed that ugly metal Samsonite emblem for a subtle engraved Samsonite logo. The only possible downside to the cases changes would have to be the changing of the shoulder strap hooks from the polished raw metal to the painted black metal. The paint on the hooks chip as a result of their friction. In closing this bag is everything you could ask for out of a professional briefcase. Such a good briefcase you might even grow attached and buy the same model 3 years from now.

High quality leather briefcase, classy, professional, comfortable

This is a great briefcase. As an executive this is exactly what I was looking for. Seems like quality leather and unlike many other brands I've seen on Amazon, will not scuff with the slightest touch or scratch. The style is nice and professional, it seems suited for an executive or business person, you can bring it to work with confidence. I LOVE the expandable pockets, since each pocket has a little width to expand, when you put stuff in the briefcase, it does not bulge or feel overpacked, each pocket has room to carry what will go inside it (my last one had a ton of pockets but not enough room inside, so it always bulged/ felt overpacked). It has handles, and also a shoulder strap, so you can carry it either way. You can slip it over your suitcase when traveling as well. Of course it has a laptop area, and it has enough pockets and compartments to be extremely useful - my briefcase is now much more organized than before - and a couple discreet inner zippers for storing valuables. It feels light, and comfortable, the shoulder strap and its adjustability ensures you can wear it at your desired length and it is more ergonomic and comfortable that way. Remember, you get what you pay for, you can get $50 or $100 briefcases but this one is from a reputable brand and is a high quality. I am really excited about this briefcase, big upgrade from my last one. Thank you Samsonite!

Excellent Large Computer Bag With Room For All Your Accessories And Notebooks

I have found this computer bag to be the best for my frequent business air travel and even daily use carrying my laptop to and from the office. This is the second time I have purchased this model, after many years of using its predecessor. Plenty of room for a large 17" screen laptop and all of the accessories, even large power bricks. Many individual compartments and internal pockets for your accessories and office supplies. The expandability means that I can carry all the documents that I need to have hardcopies of in case printing on-site is not available. It easily fits upright into overhead storage on any large airliner. The padding on the carry strap is easy to adjust and makes carrying it almost effortless regardless of how overstuffed I make it. The zippers are very good and I haven't had any of them break in years of use. The carry handles are rugged and comfortable in your hand. About the only complaint I can make about it is that the leather edging on the corners tend to wear through unless you take care not to pull it across the floor briefly before lifting it.

Versatile, file friendly briefcase.

Best briefcase I have ever had. This case does everything. Holds files (including legal size), electronics, miscellany and it expands. The only thing this doesn't do is fall short. I purchased this in 2020 and it is getting a bit worn on the corners and I came back because I wanted to be sure that it was still available for replacement. This is a lifetime loyalty type of product. I felt so good about its service, to and from home every day, hearings, court and travel that I had to leave a positive review because Samsonite has earned it.
