I Was Concerned About Battery Life... But No Longer
I have owned a watch 3 since it was released approximately 5 years ago so I'm extremely familiar with every micrometer of that watch. I never babied it. I went everywhere and did everything with it. The only reason it wasn't on my wrist on extremely rare occasions was when I ran out of the house and accidentally forgot to retrieve it from the charger. I thought the end was near when a plastic ring came out of the bezel... but it still had a couple of years left in it. For my birthday, my wife and I went to the coast. I went swimming at the hotel and then jumped into the hot tub. Apparently that was one activity too far for the watch which has been through miles and miles of swimming with me. It stopped responding to my input. I said to my wife... I know what I want for my birthday π... a new smartwatch! I relate this story because I have been a Galaxy Smartwatch owner since version 1. I am totally satisfied with the the product. I started reading about the version 7 watch and was very concerned about the battery life. The version 3 was advertised as needing a charge every 2 days but it required charging every day. When I did exercise mode it sometimes drained the battery before the end of the day after 100% charge in the morning. Battery drain also happened regularly if the watch lost communication with the phone [a Samsung product]. So, when I saw that the Watch 7 required charging every day, I was alarmed given the track history of the Watch 3. I'm an alpine first responder and need the always on display when I am on duty as a ski patroller to be able to take vital signs. I had trouble doing that with Version 3. I love the feature in Version 7 because it actually stays on instead of having to touch the screen like I did in Version 3. Certainly, the battery will drain quicker with the screen on so I'm happy that I can turn the screen on mode off because most of the time, I don't need it on. Without the screen on the battery will go 3 days. I've done a couple of exercise routines and I still get 3 days estimated battery life. Needless to say, I am extremely encouraged about this watch now. The features are amazing. The only sticking point going into the purchase was the battery life and that concern has completely evaporated. I had purchased a watch face MD 85 for the Version 3 watch that wasn't transferable to the new watch so I purchased the MD 301 [under two bucks]. The watch face is much larger and there are a lot more customizable features on the new watch face and it is exactly what I'm used to looking at so there is no learning curve except how to use the new features. My initial impression of the watch is that I thrilled to own it and am looking forward to to using it... every day.

βββββ Absolutely Outstanding β My New Daily Essential!
I upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 44mm from the Google Pixel Watch, and it has quickly become one of my favorite gadgets. The larger 1.5-inch Super AMOLED display is stunning β vibrant colors, razor-sharp resolution, and incredibly bright even in direct sunlight. It feels premium on the wrist with its lightweight aluminum build (just 33.8g), sapphire crystal glass, and sleek design that pairs perfectly with any outfit. The health and fitness tracking is where this watch truly shines. The upgraded BioActive sensor delivers highly accurate heart rate monitoring, detailed sleep insights (including sleep apnea detection), and helpful Galaxy AI features like the Energy Score and personalized wellness tips. I love how it automatically detects workouts, provides precise GPS tracking with the dual-frequency system, and gives me meaningful data on recovery and overall wellness. As someone who stays active, the improved accuracy over my previous watch has been a game-changer. Performance is buttery smooth thanks to the new 3nm Exynos processor and 32GB of storage β plenty of room for apps, music, and more. Notifications are quick and reliable, gestures (like the double pinch) work intuitively, and the Wear OS experience feels refined and responsive. It integrates seamlessly with my Samsung phone, unlocking even more features. Battery life gets me through a full day with heavy use (AOD on, continuous tracking, workouts), and the 44mm modelβs larger 425mAh battery helps. Charging is fast enough that I just top it up while I shower or get ready. Durability is solid too β 5ATM + IP68 water resistance means I donβt have to baby it. If youβre in the market for a top-tier Android smartwatch that balances style, advanced health tracking, and smart features, the Galaxy Watch 7 44mm is an excellent choice. Highly recommended β worth every penny!

Very nice fitting watch!
This is my first Samsung watch and I really like it! The first thing I noticed is how thin the watch is, it is thinner than any other smart watch that I have had and feels very comfortable. I kind of like the look of the Watch 7 vs. the Watch 8 and I was able to snag it at a very good price, so that made me very happy! The processor is snappy, the size and quality of the screen is awesome, it has some great gesture options that I use all the time, I can use Google Gemini with just my voice, the watch works great with my google apps, has a ton of sensors, and does everything I was hoping for in a watch. I also feel like Samsung will be supporting it for quite a while. I don't really use the health monitoring, so I can't speak to that. The battery life is fine for me, I could go two days without charging but I usually top it off daily. The one negative I will say is the lock screen. I use Google Pay and so I have to have a screen lock. Quite often the screen will lock back up and I may have to unlock it a couple of more times before it finally stays unlocked. I have seen that others have this problem and I haven't seen any good fixes for that, so it's a little disappointing that they haven't fixed that. But, I like the watch so much that I'm not even holding that against it! It's really not a major deal. Overall, this watch has a great system and functions well.

Good watch, does what it says, easy to use
I read a lot of reviews before I purchased this watch, especially the negative ones. So far, I have yet to come across anything negative about this watch. My Galaxy Active 2 finally got to a point that the display was barely readable. I actually thought it might be my eyes, but noticed I could not read any of the app tabs, so figured it was the watch. After looking at this and a Galaxy 5, I chose this for a few dollars more, and so far, it has been a good choice. The watch, of course, immediately updated, but it has been working as well as, or better than expected. It accurately tracks steps and heart rate, as well as providing the other functions it advertises. The one thing I do want to note, that seemed to come up a lot in the 1 or 2 star ratings is the battery life. This watch seems to be far more sensitive to movement than my previous watch, and seems to have the screen on more, even with the timeout set at 15 sec. That being said, after 48 hours since its last charge, it still has 33% battery life, and that is after two workouts and busy days. So, I'm not sure what was wrong with those batteries, but mine seems to be holding a charge well.
