Exactly what I needed.
Pros. Easy fast setup. Readings seem fairly accurate. Big, easy to read screen. Lots of watch faces to choose from. Everything just works. Paired with S25Ultra. Battery life seems very good after a couple full days of use. Ai assistant is great. Cons. Not uncomfortable, but not as compassionate I'd hoped. Not a deal breaker. But will take some getting used to. The story. So I'll be 50 this summer and I work a labor intensive job 12-14 a day. Wanted a "fitness" watch so I could monitor my heart rate etc. Picked up a FitBit versa 4. It was very comfortable. Very comfortable. But the heart rate monitor was all over the place, registering a resting HR of 53, then suddenly 120, then 85. It was just sll over the place. Shame because it was unbelievably comfortable and had outstanding battery life. Returned it and after a lot of research, order the galaxy watch 8. Kinda wish I got the 40 instead of 44. It is a bit big, and I feel that. I'm sure I'll get used to it. No deal breakers here. Just gotta get used to it. Battery: I've read reviews stating the battery life isn't great. Not sure why they say that. I've used it a couple days now and I use about 20% battery in a day. I don't have always on display on, as I don't look at my wrist constantly. So it lighting up when I turn my wrist is just what I want. I have heart rate monitoring, steps being counted, i scroll over to check weather. Use the ai Gemini to set timers etc. Even when the watch did an update in the middle of a day, the watch only used 20% battery that day. So I'd say battery life is very good. I'm nor comparing to other watches as I haven't used one in years aside from the fitbit I returned for this. For the extra cost, and extra size... you do get great app integration with galaxy phone . Better than my experience with fitbit. Also readings seem more accurate all around. All around I'd say this is a great buy and a lot of value for the $. -note: I'm not knocking the fitbit versa 4. I believe I received a defective unit. But chose this for the health app integration with my phone and better native Samsung/android app integration and ai assistant.

This watch is a winner for sure.
This watch has a lot of new stuff! A new bezel and a new way to attach the two bands. A lot more choices for watchfaces, and, many more color choices for background and font. There's a new way of using "tiles" ... instead of having one group of tiles and apps, now we have what you might call folders, with subfolders. You can see each "subfolder's" info at a glance when you're looking at that folder. From what I've seen so far, there are 3 "folders"... which are entitled Health; Fitness; Basic. You can add more "folders" and change its name too. Very versatile. You can put any tile or app in any of these areas of course. I put all the apps I had put on my Watch 7 into this watch's first "folder." I filed up the rest of the "folders" with anything else I needed. The bezel's new look is a little odd (a rounded square surrounds the round watchface). But, it's actually growing on me. There's a new way of putting on the bands, which is even different from the Watch 7. It's a little awkward trying to press the little bar while also getting the latch part to go in, but I succeeded. The new bands make the watch stand up from laying flat. No biggie, but it did make me wonder if the watch could still sit on its little disc charging thing (it did). When charging it, the watch face has more charging info on it. The new band is the same size as the previous version, but, I need to fasten it two holes closer to the end. As for battery, I've used the watch nearly all day. It's at 90%. I give this watch a 10 for sure. I like the look, feel, and all the new features of the Watch 8. Good job!! 👍

Fantastic Smartwatch with Great Features and Comfortable Fit
I recently purchased the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8, and it has quickly become an essential part of my daily routine. The watch feels solid and well‑built, with a premium finish that looks good both during workouts and in more casual or professional settings. The display is bright and clear, making it easy to read notifications, health metrics, and apps at a glance. Performance has been smooth. I haven’t experienced any lag when switching between apps or tracking activities. The fitness and health tracking features are comprehensive and reliable, from heart rate monitoring to sleep tracking, and the automatic workout detection works well. Battery life is better than I expected. With typical use, I’m getting through most of the day comfortably and often into the next before needing a recharge. The interface is intuitive, and pairing with my Samsung phone was quick and seamless. Overall, the Galaxy Watch 8 delivers excellent performance, useful features, and comfortable all‑day wear. It’s a great option if you want a versatile smartwatch that handles both fitness tracking and everyday smart features with ease.

Fantastic Watch!!!!!!!!!!
I was a bit hesitant to buy this watch for two reasons, its Amazon renewed and also I like bigger watches so I wasn't sure that this 44mm size would be a good fit. First off, the watch is in perfect condition, came in the original box, and is absolutely just like new. Secondly, the watch is thinner and lighter, but the watch itself is a great size. It had some battery to it so I was able to connect it while charging it. Connecting it to my phone was a piece of cake. I love all of the functions that it has to offer including workout tracking, heart rate, and sleep tracking. The heart rate and pulse ox seem to be pretty spot on as compared to my finger unit. I get as many notifications as I want from it and its incredibly accurate. The screen quality is amazing and so are the speakers and sound quality. I have previously owned the Galaxy Watch 46mm, Galaxy Watch 3, Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, and this is far superior to all of them. I'm getting easily 2 full days of battery life on a single charge. If you're a Samsung fan, you'll love this watch.
