Beautiful and Elegant Glasses
These are very elegant glasses with a perfect shape and rim finish. The thinness of the glass is what makes them so classy, but it also means that they need to be treated with extra care. I hand-wash mine because all sorts of bad things can happen inside a dishwasher. Care instructions at the Zwiesel website specifically advise against holding the bowl while twisting the stem, for example, and vice versa. This is important while washing and drying. Shoving a bunch of fingers (or dishwasher prongs) into the bowl can exert an enormous amount of pressure on the edges too. One more tip... avoid suddenly exposing only one side of the glass to very hot or cold water, which can create a huge temperature differential that stresses the glass. Instead, spin the glass gently as it enters the water. The white wine glasses also serve as excellent all-round glasses for red and rosé wines. I bought the set of 8, nervous about what I was going to receive, because the capacity listed in the title (13.6 Ounces) does not match the product details (14.2-ounce). This set is 13.6 ounces and is EXACTLY the same size and capacity as the "Burgundy/Light Red & White Wine Glass, 13.6-Ounce", set of 6, sold here. While there may be some unusual sizes of Forte glasses still available at various websites, including Amazon, the Zwiesel website now lists only 4 stemmed Forte glasses. In order of height, they are: Water/Red Wine (8.93") Champaine flute (8.86") Burgundy (8.7") White Wine (8.54")

Great value glasses, you won’t be disappointed!
When you read reviews about wine glasses and the low ratings are because the glasses break easily, chances are it’s a novice wine drinker. The thinner the thickness of the glass, the better the glass. It makes a big difference drinking wine from a thin glass profile vs the thicker glasses. That’s why the thicker glasses are less expensive. They are easier to make but are only good for beer, water, and other non-oeno beverages. If you need something for your box wine that will bounce off your linoleum floor when you get too drunk to hang on to it, these are probably not your best choice. But, if you want a good wine drinking experience to savor the aromas and flavor profile of your wine, but don’t want to spend $100 per glass, these are as close to hand blown as you can get. Great value, great quality! These are wonderful glasses to add to your cabinet and not be embarrassed to serve even the most discerning drinker. They aren’t very deep and the red glasses don’t have much in the way of aeration because the mouth is relatively small in diameter. So, you probably don’t want to pour your big boy Burgundy in them or your First Growth Bordeaux. But, for a larger dinner party with many drinkers and for everyday use, you can’t do better.

Beautiful Wine Glasses
I am so thrilled with these glasses! I had ordered a set of them back in 2016 and one by one they got broken. When I went to buy them again, it was hard to tell from the picture if they were the same ones, but thanks to Amazon's "You bought this item in 2016" I knew I had the right ones. They are the perfect size (I think...) for sipping Chardonnay and there's nothing big or clunky about them. They weren't packed terribly well, but surprisingly none were cracked or broken. I highly recommend these Schott Zwiesel wine glasses!

Love, love these glasses. They are light and catch the light perfectly as I enjoy a glass of white wine. (I also use these for red, and the color and shine are just beautiful. The taper and feel of these glasses are wonderful, and the fact that they can go in the dishwasher makes me happy every time I use them. They were in a "Buy 6, get 2 free" assortment, but they were also 50% off. It made my day! Drinking the wine from these glasses is a treat!
