Just like the one at Costco
I bought this same model at Costco on sale for downstairs. It does a good job and I'm happy with it. I got this refreshed unit for the upstairs. It was a little more than $100 cheaper. It came with everything the Costco unit came with except the original box. There was one dog hair in a filter that got missed, and the round foam filter was no longer white. A couple of specs of dust. Otherwise, it was very clean. It works just like the unit from Costco. The Shark app controls and schedules both my units. I don't have a dog or kids, so it works well for me. I empty the dust been every few days even if I don't really need to do so. (Got to have some excitement in life.) Replacement filters and brushes are available on Amazon for about $20 even if they don't specify the model. I gave up on trying to find a equivalent model and just went by looks on the filters and brush rollers. Note that this unit would not be cost effective if the replacements parts had to be purchased directly from Shark. I have not had either unit more then 6 months and have not needed to replace anything yet. The battery holds it's charge just as well as the new unit from Costco. Both units run about an hour for the first pass when cleaning. Both units need to recharge a couple of hours before finishing their floor - it's a large house. BTW A battery replacement is available from Amazon for about $20 should it be required someday. I use my old vacuum cleaner to clean the Shark robot once in a while. The filters collect a layer of dirt. The white round filter can be washed, but I find vacuuming it works just as well. The robot will get hung up on cords if they are out where they will be run over, so don't be sloppy with the cords. The robot tends to "hop" around the base of standing lamps. This can be noisy. I should use the app to exclude the lamps, but I'm lazy. One last note. Some units have a filter and screen that's molded into the dust bin used on the robot. Replacing it means replacing the entire dust bin. This is not the case for this unit. Both the filter and screen can be replaced separately. The "orange" filter slides out. The screen screws on. I originally named by first unit "Dirtbag". A close friend suggested I was insensitive to my robot. Okay, "Dusty" it is. I was tempted to name it after that person as a joke, but I decided to live instead. :) [Update] I bought a 2nd one for a friend in need. Can't beat the price. The unit came very clean. It was cleaner than the 1st one I bought. It also smelled clean. When pairing WiFi the first time it spoke Spanish, but I managed. Once connected to WiFi I used the app to change the language to English. I now manage 3 sharks from my app. Somebody else's map was linked to this unit so I did a factory reset from the app. This required starting over, but the WiFi pairing was in English this time. The unit works well. My friend's floors now look clean again.

Highly recommend
I've been using the vacuums (bought 2, one for the main floor , one for the bedrooms) for two weeks now, so my initial thoughts are... I'm really very pleased with them. We have two Siberian Huskies and two cats, one being a double coated short haired (she obviously has some Russian Blue in her because that undercoat is all thick fluffy, she's the very definition of 'plush') and they do a phenomenal job with the fur. I run them once a day, because even if it were winter and the Huskies were shedding less, you don't know fluff until you've had a husky (let alone two. You *have* to vacuum every day) and they get the majority of the fur. Yes if I use the canister vac, which I do about every other week now, I will pick up a little more, but all things considered, the robots' suction is very good. A full size vacuum will always have more suction because of size, but the robots manage to do a very good job. I love that I can just schedule cleanings and not have to worry about it. They're very reliable that they start going every morning at 10 am whether I'm home alone not. They stick to the map pretty well. Every so often they seem to have a day where they just aren't on their game and they skip things (even though nothing seems to be blocking their paths). I generally go through the house first thing in the morning and make sure everything is out of the way, no stray socks or dog toys. I have two issues, the main floor robot (we named it Wall-E) get overly confused in the kitchen. It spent about 30 minutes one day (that I know of) bouncing around in the tiny kitchen going over and over the same track. The day before it zipped through there just fine. The other issue is the bedroom floor robot (Eve) ignores the no go zone, and often get throughly confused by it when trying to enter the room next to the no go zone. The app also always wants to go in set up with Eve, if I just x out of that, it sees her and everything that was already set up. It's not a big deal, it started happening after the WiFi went out one day, I suppose if I just tinkered with it it would sort out, but it's really only an issue if I need to recall her to her base. Otherwise it acts like it's set up, just have to x out of screens if I need to use the app for her. Besides the minor issues, I have to give them a top rating. They do their jobs really well, I love not having to vacuum every day and love not having fur everywhere. And the cat finds it endlessly entertaining chasing down the little side brushes as the robots go about their jobs.

It works and cleans, with minor issues (but for the price that is expected).
I've had this 6 months now (I run it 2-3 times per week). I am quite happy with it for the price. It still works, and seems to follow the "no go zone" areas. It makes it up into my kitchen and bathrooms which have a mild incline. The bathroom has a larger incline, which caused it to originally skip it when mapping the house. However, if I make another room manually and ask it to go in there, it does. It picks up almost all the dirt in my house and has no trouble with the rug. My house is 1,200 square feet. It is able to do all but one room in one go. Then, it needs to recharge for about 3 hours before continuing (it continues on its own). You can also sceduale times and days for it to clean automatically. The major negatives i have had: it had gotten stuck in large wiring (I made that area a no go zone though). It is quite loud so I try to sceduale cleanings for times I am not home or times I do not care about the noise (it does have a weaker level though that is quiet but not very strong, suction wise). It has gotten "lost" or stuck and has needed my help to get back to cleaning. The object detection is not great, but I expected that. I just have to make sure the floors do not have a lot of lighter objects on them (shoes, books, etc), otherwise it will carry them along when it cleans. If they are heavy objects, it will clean around the edges of them. The brushroll and emptying box need to be cleaned about every go-round, especially if you have pets or very long and easily tangled hair. That is very easy though. Overall, for the price I am very satisfied. I did not expect it to be perfect compared to ones for a thousand dollars or more, but it does the job and that is what matters to me. My floors have never been cleaner and I have not had to vaccume at all for the past 6 months (I am a clean freak and was previously vaccuming every week, at least). Just with the time already saved, I would completely call it worth the 100 dollars. And it is STILL going strong!!

Great vacuum
Great Robot Vacuum for the Price I’ve bought two of these for my own house and liked them so much that I ended up getting them for my adult children as well. For the price, this is a great robot vacuum. I purchased refurbished units, and even when I had an issue with one of them, the company replaced it without any hassle. That gave me a lot of confidence in the product and support. One of the things I love most is how well it maps the house. Once it learns the layout, it really doesn’t miss an inch. It does a great job going around or over obstacles and cleaning thoroughly. The self-emptying feature is also a big plus because it makes the whole process almost completely hands-off. The app is probably one of my favorite upgrades from my old generic brand robot vacuum. Overall, it’s been a very reliable vacuum and an excellent value. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good robot vacuum without spending a fortune.
