Smart Bluetooth Meat Thermometer 0.5Sec Instant Read with Charging Base
Ok, ok, I am impressed! If you are like me, a Master Chef hidden in the “Dad Bod” aka “Father Figure” of an EXTREMELY good looking mortal such as myself, 😜, you may have spent a LOT of money over the years on “wireless” thermometers; you probably have a kitchen drawer full of “wired wireless probes” that connect to a transmitter & and you may even have 1 or 2 of this type of probe that cost upwards of $75-125+, that are now living rent free because they no longer work 🤣😜. With that said, just last week I was at a Big Box Wholesale Club with a similar type of probe for $129.99 in my cart, to have logged into Amazon Vine to find while standing in checkout to find this Mopgetod Smart Bluetooth Meat Thermometer for $29.99…and took a chance on it. And I am SO HAPPY THAT I DID! Out of the box, the probe and base charged quickly with the included USB-C cable. When the product arrived Friday, I was planning to bring it to our camp, to try on the smoked ribs and forgot it at home. However for Father’s Day Dinner yesterday, my actual Master Chef Dad wanted my Country Style Gluten & Dairy Free Baked Macaroni & Cheese, which became the perfect opportunity to test this probe. The app downloaded easily, set up/connection to the probe was a breeze. NO NEED TO CREATE ANOTHER RANDOM PROFILE ACCOUNT. So simple, turn Bluetooth on, open the Prob Plus app, remove the fully charged probe from its base, tap add new probe and voila! We have a simple and solid connection! And it’s 6 temperature sensors works like a charm! As I began writing this review, my thought went to, can I put this a turkey that I drop into my Butterball table top electric fryer, so I asked Rufus and this is what I got in return; “The Mopgetod Smart Bluetooth Meat Thermometer is designed for ovens, smokers, BBQ grills, and rotisserie cooking. While it features an IP67 waterproof rating and a food-grade stainless steel probe, the product page does not specifically mention turkey fryer use. A few things to consider: Turkey fryers involve submerging food in very hot oil (typically 350°F+), which poses unique risks — the probe's wire/connection point may not be rated for full oil submersion The IP67 rating covers water resistance, but hot oil immersion is a different and more demanding environment The probe is listed for oven, smoker, and grill use — not deep frying I'd recommend contacting the manufacturer (Mopgetod) to confirm before using it in a turkey fryer, as using it in an unsupported application could damage the probe or create a safety hazard.” Since the Turkey breast and probe location will never submerge the black probe top, I am confident that it will work in MY STYLE Turkey Fryer and can’t wait to try. Needless to say, I am so happy to have ordered this probe for $29.99 and not buy the single, similar probe for 124.99 a week ago. So far this prob has absolutely exceeded my expectations and I look forward to cooking & smoking many amazing meats with it. A great value for the money FOR SURE!! I’m very impressed with this wireless meat thermometer. It was incredibly easy to set up, and the app connected to my phone in just a few seconds. The temperature readings are fast and accurate, which made cooking steak and chicken so much easier without having to constantly open the grill.The wireless range is great, and the battery lasts a long time. The probe feels sturdy and high quality, and the charging dock is very convenient. I also love that the app sends notifications when the meat reaches the perfect temperature.If you enjoy grilling, smoking, or roasting, this is definitely a must-have.
