I like this mug warmer much more than the type that relies on a weight sensor at the bottom. Those often stop heating when the drink gets low unless you press the cup down just right, which is easy to miss. This one heats much faster — I can put a cold drink from the fridge on it and it turns hot in about 15 minutes, plus it has a timer with auto shut-off for safety. The manual notes the sensor doesn’t detect plain water in a clear glass, but it works well with tea, coffee, or any colored liquid, which matches my experience.
