I had a tried and true midnight blue Thermos for probably 15 years that I lovedlovedloved and finally had to get rid of. After ordering several (read: well over a dozen) travel cups on Amazon in search of the “perfect one”, this was the keeper. I was looking for simple design, leakproof, no side handle cup, that I could throw in my purse and that was easy to clean. (I wanted to be able to put my hand in the mug to wash it and not use a bottle brush. That’s just me being special.) I also wanted to be able to easily remove any rubber seals or gaskets for cleaning and I didn’t want anything larger than 16 ounces. I will say that this Stanley does not keep my drink as hot for as long as my old Thermos did or as other brands might, but it ticks all the other boxes I was looking for and I can live with not having the coffee I poured at 8 am be piping hot at 4 o’clock in the afternoon. Also, the handle on top is a game changer - it’s one of those things you never thought you needed until you had it. Thanks, Stanley! 😊 Lastly, the two part lid situation I really like. Sometimes I just take my full cup to work and want to pour my drink in a mug when I get there so I just use the top lid. When I am on the go, I use both lids. I’ve never had it leak and I carry it in my purse all the time. Granted, I have a structured purse but it has fallen over multiple times and I can even shake my beverage with the lid(s) on tight and nothing comes out. Such a winner for me. I’m writing this review after having used the product almost daily for over 6 months. Hope this is helpful!
