It gets HOT.. and Dimmer is meh…
Why 5 stars? Cuz no one reads 2, 3 or 4 star and I reserve the single star for absolute rubbish items. This lamp is good, it’s quite bright, the gooseneck feels solid and I actually like the top piece design, it’s got a little style to it. That said, we have another similar to this, different brand and it’s soooooo much better. This lights buttons to turn on/off has a ring around it which you have to hold to brighten or dim, which seems to take forever…most times I can’t tell if I’m pushing wrong or it’s just not super responsive, it’s usually the later. We also like to leave it on a lot, ambient lighting and all but this lamp, it gets quite HOT at the top part. Our other one is always cool to the touch. I am going to stick with the other brand, you can find it in my reviews - it’s a little bit more expensive but very worth it.

I love it
My desk is next to a wall so I put this light next to me and if I'm reading a book or doing something else that I want more light all I have to do is turn it a little and turn it on. Gives me all the light I need. A little brighter wouldn't break my heart, but it works

Great light for reading and sewing
This is a great light to read by. My glasses are not the best for reading but I find with this light I am no longer getting eye strain from reading. It’s well made with an easy off/on button. The light also helps with close work like sewing.
