So many wonderful features packed into one machine

This is my review of the Tempospark sunrise alarm clock with sound machine. I ordered this for our toddler who has long enjoyed a sound machine, and Tempospark’s machine adds so many more features. The included printed instructions and reference card plus the online user guide video on the product page do a superb job of illustrating and explaining all these features. Everything I saw on these instructions worked on the clock except my iPhone 15 Pro did not indicate it was charging when plugged in to the USB-A 5 volt charging port on the back of the clock. Setup was straightforward. After pairing Bluetooth with my phone, the Tempospark clock automatically set to my local time, and I was able to play phone audio through the clock speakers. I didn’t see any smartphone app to control this clock. The rubber base helped the clock stay in place without scratching my nightstand. The internal, non-replaceable battery maintained the time after I unplugged the clock which is great if power is lost and back on before the alarm time. If power is still lost, the alarm does not happen. Aesthetically, I’d prefer a smaller sized clock instead of this one at almost 7” wide by just over 6” tall, as well as a contemporary black surface instead of this one’s nostalgic woodgrain from the 1970s and 80s. I tried to go off script for a couple options not in the instructions and failed. (1) I wanted the alarm to turn on the light to green with no alarm sound. While it was possible to set the alarm to no sound (OFF instead of S01 to S10 options), it did not seem possible to change the color of the light for the alarm and use the 8 solid colors or 9 RGB mood lighting. The only alarm light option I saw was for brightness of the sunrise simulation. (2) The device’s USB-A port is labeled “charging” and the C port is labeled “input” and these are apparently not interchangeable. I wanted to plug in the device using the included USB C to A cable with the USB-A port on the back of the device and hoped the USB-C port would have enough juice to charge my phone. The clock didn’t power on.

This sunrise alarm clock offers a gentle wake up experience using a customizable sunrise simulation that brightens over the period of 10–60 minutes before the alarm time, helping you wake up more naturally. The height is approximately 7.5" and the width is approximately 8". It includes a built-in sound machine with 30 white noise and nature sounds, and you can also stream audio through Bluetooth for more sound and music options. The sleep timer ranges from 10 to 480 minutes, so it works well for winding down at night without needing to turn anything off manually. The clock offers 20 brightness levels and 17 lighting modes including RGB and solid colors, making it easy to set the right mood for nighttime or morning routines. It also supports dual alarms with adjustable sound options, volume levels, and a gentle 5–20 minute snooze feature. Designed to replace multiple bedside devices, it combines a wake-up light, sound machine, night light, and sleep timer in one unit, and it includes a USB charging to keep your phone powered overnight. it also includes a power cable with a standard wall outlet plug or USB plugin option. It's a great value for the high quality speakers and all the various features it offers including a multitude of light and sound options.

This Sunrise clock has so many fun features. It is not battery operated.

I wanted a new clock for my bedroom and this clock has a small footprint so it doesn't take much space on the nightstand. This Sunrise Alarm Clock has so many neat features. The time has 1 inch large amber colored numbers so it is easy to read. All of the lighting is totally adjustable from very dim to very bright or turned off. The clock comes with written instructions. I also watched the product videos and tested to discover that the after setting the alarm sequence, the alarm icon has to remain blinking for the alarm to go off. That was the only thing that confused me; everything else in its operation is straightforward. It has bluetooth so it can pair with your phone to play music and will also automatically sync the time when paired. I like the white noise sounds, especially the one with rainfall. The multiple choices for lighting brightness and color selections are great. I use the timing feature with red lighting to fall asleep. And, of course, the sunrise feature is fun. It gradually brightens the room and you can have soothing sounds at the same time or hit snooze and start over. It has a USB A port for charging a phone which is good for overnight charging; it is not a fast charger. The only con is that it must remain plugged in to a power source to work. To provide power a 5V USB A to C wall adapter and a 4 foot long USB cable is included. Since there is no battery backup, the clock has no memory and must be reset if there is a power outage.
