Easy to adapt to GF/DF/nut-free diets
I have a hard time buying "regular" cookbooks while working around nut allergies, lactose intolerance, and a preference for eating gluten-free. After looking through the sample of this book, I decided to take a chance and have not been disappointed. The author does a great job of calling out allergy swaps where they are able to be made, and there are also a lot of recipes that meet our needs without making adjustments. I have found the cook times to be accurate, and the dishes are generally flavorful and easy to assemble. After having spent the last few years cooking mostly with an Instant Pot, this book has been helpful in getting me reacquainted with a slow cooker for the nights when I'm not home to cook dinner due to running kids to activities. As others have noted, these recipes don't really have five ingredients, but more like five main ingredients. Things like spices and water don't count toward the five. Personally, I don't find this to be a deterrent because most of the meals I make have longer ingredient lists than this, anyway, but I can see how some might not be totally excited about it. Also, she uses frozen mirepoix as a main ingredient in a lot of recipes, and I have not been able to find this anywhere in my area, so be aware that there may be some additional chopping required for some of the recipes.

Love this book
I absolutely love this cookbook! The recipes are simple, quick, and use minimal ingredients, which makes it perfect for busy weeknights. Every dish I’ve tried so far has been delicious and satisfying, and I appreciate that I don’t have to spend hours prepping or hunting for hard-to-find ingredients. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, even for beginners, and the meals are hearty enough to feed a family or provide leftovers for the next day. I especially like the variety—everything from soups to casseroles to main dishes. Overall, it’s a fantastic resource for anyone looking to make tasty, no-fuss slow cooker meals. Highly recommend!

Lots of Good Recipes
I like these recipes because they use good, healthy ingredients. None of the recipes call for cans of creamed soup or other such processed ingredients, like so many other crock pot recipes do. There are a Good mix of "set it and forget it recipes" and others that require more prep and attention. None are overly complicated, but you should be aware that the title is a bit misleading. The "five ingredients" refer to the main ingredients specific to each recipe, but most require several pantry staples to complete the recipe.

Loved it
I love this cookbook it made putting together some healthy meals really easy. It is so helpful to have the recipes for the different homemade sauces too. I’m definitely happy with my purchase and have tried almost every recipe in it.
