Excellent beginner cookbook
I thought my teen (almost 15) should learn to do more in the kitchen than microwave (and I’m tired of doing the majority of cooking) so this book went under the Christmas tree for him this year. Was it his favourite gift? Nope. Has he used it? Yes!! My only complaint is it has a lot of cheese bases recipes and my son is not a cheesy kid (which is really annoying because cheese is the BEST). This book was perfect for him as he is a complete novice. It’s not overly complicated. Another great thing about this is (like all recipes) you really have to read the instructions carefully so you don’t miss anything. I’m hoping learning to cook and slowing down when he reads instructions will carry on into his school work (he’s a rusher!). Today he made a lunch recipe from the book “penne with bacon and zucchini” and it was excellent! Only 9 ingredients, most of which we already had in the pantry and very basic and easy to follow instructions. I would recommend this book to anyone just starting out. Great recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert. Nothing fancy and no fancy expensive or ingredients. The book also includes a section on kitchen safety.

Raising capable children is a passion of mine and this cookbook z
This has been fun to my young teens and tweens who want freedom in the kitchen without helicopter mom hovering over them. The recipes are fun, simple and delicious. They enjoy doing it on their own and getting the satisfaction that it’s actually edible. (But they are more than just edible, they’ve made some super delicious meals!) and as their momma, I love having other cooks/chefs in the kitchen, so supper time doesn’t fall on me everyday!🙌🏻🙌🏻

Walk thru lesson!
This is an amazing cookbook and a must have for new cooking enthusiasts! My 10 year old son has taken up cooking and it’s perfect ! It teaches about knife skills and after every skill/lesson is a recipe. It teaches various skills until you’ve built up to a meal. I loved it so much I ordered one for other family members!

Teenagers will enjoy this one
A HIT! A really good gift for your teenagers. I was hoping my granddaughter would find this to be fun and actually use it, and to my surprise she made dinner for all of us this pass Sunday. She 13 years old and was so proud of herself because we really enjoyed her cheese tortellini dish.
