This book is perfect for any children dealing with loss!
I purchased this book after searching online for a suitable gift for a friend’s 10 year old son. He has just lost his little baby brother and the first thing he asked for was a pen to write his brothers name in case he forgets him! I wanted to be able to gift him something to help him keep his memories alive! Children who deal with grief often grow up remembering very little from the time as our trauma response naturally kicks in and tries to block the moments from our memories. (I speak from experience here) it is really important for him to have something he can keep and add to over the years and wow what a beautiful book this is! With space for drawings and photographs, space for family members to share their memories too. Space to write the good and bad feelings down and address the changes taking place around him. I think this book will be a wonderful tool for him and I think it will help enormously! It even recommends how to make a memory box! I’m blown away with this purchase and I honestly can’t recommend it enough! Big thanks to the author! X

This book helped me grief
My dear boyfriend gifted me this book when my grandfather passed away. I’ve shed tears countless times while reading it. Today marks his first heavenly birthday, and having this book has been incredibly helpful in coping with my grief. I appreciate you writing it for a young child, as it resonates deeply with my inner child’s healing process. It’s wonderful to be able to connect with this message. This book inspired me to keep my grandfather’s memory alive by getting bird feeders. Today, all the windows are open, and I can see the little birds flitting to my balcony, singing their cheerful tunes.

I need tissues looking through it • Good quality
While I wish we didn't need a reason to have this book, it's a great book to have for the circumstance. My sister recently died so I got this to do with my 11 year-old as a way to help cope with the grief and also a way to honor her aunt. It has a lot of great promts and spaces. It's great quality and has thick pages with a pretty design. I definitely need tissues when reading and working through this. I'm glad I purchased this, though ❤️

Perfect partner with the book: The Memory Box. It's a great therapy tool. I have youth that are putting together memory boxes for their lost loved ones. This book gives so many ideas for what goes into one. The other book that goes with it breaks loss down in simple terms for smaller kids. I recommend both.
