These baking dishes are nicer than I typically buy for myself. They cost more than I'd normally spend on bakeware, but after using them, I can appreciate where the money went. The first thing that stands out is the finish. The reactive glaze is beautiful. It's evenly applied, smooth to the touch, free of rough spots, and has a rich, glossy appearance that makes the dishes look much more expensive than typical ceramic bakeware. The three different sizes are genuinely useful, making it easy to choose the right dish whether you're preparing a small side, a casserole, or a full-size lasagna. I also like that the handles increase in size with each dish, making the larger pans easier and more comfortable to carry when wearing oven mitts. While I do have some concern about long-term chipping, as is often the case with ceramic bakeware, but after my use so far they've held up perfectly. The maker packaged these assuming someone was going to mail them to the moon....excellent safe packaging job. That says a lot. These are attractive enough that I wouldn't hesitate to bring them straight from the oven to the dining table. I used the medium dish to make a veggie bake for a Sunday potluck, and it was perfect for taking straight to the table. They are pretty enough that I won't need to transfer the food to a serving platter. Cleanup was easy, even after I had some sauce bake onto the edges of the largest dish. The handles are great for me, they are deep and sturdy enough that I don't feel like I am going to drop them when pulling a heavy lasagna out of the oven. Plus, they nest perfectly, so they don't take up much room in my cupboards. If you're looking for something that functions well but also looks high-end enough for company, this is a solid set.
