Expensive. And worth every penny.
For years, I traveled with a large school backpack made by the company that begins with "LL"...but my flying frequency has exploded over the past couple of years, and its lack of organization, "undifferentiated" and cavernous compartments, and lack of any rigidity made it a pain to use frequently for MacBook, accessories, and more as my underseat bag. So...after much research, I ordered the Altitude Large backpack, and it's a keeper. Total volume a bit smaller than my previous product, but that's more than offset by the efficient use/organization of the space. Multiple compartments, each one easily accessible. Holds MacBook, large tablet (paper, not iPad), Bose headphones, electronics/cable/plug organizer bag, keys, portable Epson scanner, sweatshirt/rain jacket, and various miscellaneous items, with room to spare. Very comfortable and balanced, and the quality trolley strap is a bonus. Only critique: the shoulder straps may be a bit short for some, and I had to move the sternum trap from its default position to the only remaining slots to avoid strangling myself--and moving the straps took awhile due to the heavy duty buckles that were reluctant to fit through the slots. That said, the sternum straps use of a "hook and loop" seems primitive vs. the plastic snap buckles found on other bags--but in fact they're GREAT, as you can fasten them one-handed. I haven't found any documentation or reviews about weight capacity of the Altitude Large...I'm about to fly with MacBook, Canon Mirrorless body with battery grip and 70-200 f/2.8 lens (in a small camera bag to be placed in the Altitude's expanded main compartment), so I'll know more after this trip. Overall, this is a great backpack for frequent air travel. Despite its cost--about 4x the price of the "LL"-branded bag, it is 100% worth it. When the time comes for new carry-on and other luggage, I'll be shopping Travelpro.

Man I love this bag!
I usually fly 2-6 times per month for work. I have another bag that I've been using, but even though I thought that one had good organization and is solidly built, the Altitude is on its own level. I'm very tech-y (i love my gadgets) so I bring an inordinate amount of tech with me. This thing has so many storage spaces and is so well laid out, it's made everything fit so compactly that it even fits under airplane aisle seats. It's hard to describe how much organization there is, and how it all just makes sense. And the tracker pocket is a nice touch for my SmartTag, and the hidden pocket in the back is great for storing sensitive documents. Even the top front pocket is larger than you'd expect, so tossing my phone/wallet/watch in there to get through TSA is super quick and easy. Even the drink holders are nice and expandable and easy to access, and will fully zip over your standard drink bottle. As far as build goes, I wanted a bag that would last me at least 10 years at this price, and I really think it'll make it easy. It's been on the road with me for 5 months, a good dozen or more flights, several conferences, and it doesn't show any signs of wear. They're not lying about premium, tough materials. And of course the YKK zippers are top of the line. And it's even good on comfort. Like I said I overload this thing, and its not too bad when you set it properly on your back. And I'm a big guy, and it's vented well enough that it doesn't get very hot walking around a lot. Yes, this is a weird love letter for a backpack, but frequent travelers will understand. I was looking at some pricier more "luxury" brands, but they didn't look as well organized as this one. Even when I walked on my first flight with this bag, one of the flight attendants said out loud "Ooo TravelPro! That's a nice bag!" I'm very happy with the purchase, it's worth every penny.

Pricy..but it's Traveler
Sturdy and will outlive most...well designed. I have had good warrenty support with other Travel Pro products which brings me back. Nice to find quality items, this one is worth its cost.
