Has Some Flaws but It’s My Favorite So Far
I have tried several different comforters from Amazon in the last two weeks, desperately trying to find one that won’t make me sweat at night. I’ve tried cotton shell comforters with polyester filling, I’ve tried 100% polyester comforters, and this is my second time trying a down comforter. This is the only one that I like. I looked through loads of articles and reviews. I checked out the New York Times recommended list for down comforters, and then looked at the reviews for the items on that list. All of the reviews are the same. People complain about a wet dog smell, the comforter being too thin, too heavy, I have yet to find a single one that doesn’t have a bunch of negative reviews. I think some of these are just common side effects of having a down comforter, it’s gonna smell like duck, it’s gonna need to be fluffed every now and then and you truly shouldn’t wash it. I found a system. I’m using Tide antibacterial spray for general maintenance and then dry cleaning only when needed. It mainly only smells like wet dog when you actually get it wet, because well it did come from an animal. I wish there was a way to ensure that this came from an ethical source but it’s also way cheaper than most comforters that I’ve found and it’s bigger than most. I don’t have $700 to spend on a blanket. All in all I’m tired of doing research, buying comforters and then returning them and having nights of bad sleep. This is the one I’m sticking with and so far I genuinely love it. If you don’t like the smell of duck feathers and if you don’t want to dry clean only then this isn’t for you. If you get used to those realities then it is really an incredibly comfy, puffy, light and soft comforter. I’ll have a hard time going back to anything polyester after this.

I am so in love with my comforter!!! It's exactly what I've been wanting for too many years! I cannot remember the last time I felt so pleased with an online order, now I just wish I could find a zipper cover for it with the ties on the sides, that feel the exact same way as the comforter itself, I got one that was close, n it works for now, but it's still not it. It definitely keeps body heat in, sometimes a little too much, I like the coldness when I'm sleeping, so I've had to fold it comforter down a bit some nights, but the between the thickness, not too much on the heavy side, but yet still fluffy n comfy enough to wrap up in it, also solves that security feeling, being all wrapped up in it, when sleeping alone.

This comforter is awesome. I hesitated a bunch because of the price, but ultimately I'm super happy with my decision to spend the money. I didn't use the dryer to fluff it, I just shook it out a bunch of times and left it out for a few hours. I don't know about you, but I love the crinkle-esque sound and this has the perfect balance. I use a duvet cover and it was such a great sleep, not too hot and not too cold, and feeling the fluff added a little extra comfort. The fit is great, i love the size. Thickness is awesome for temperature control. Overall, it was an awesome value.
