Grateful item!!
Love this opener. I’m 71 and my hands are getting to the point where they fail me way too often. I was cleaning one of my favorite gallon glass jars. It was full of hot water & soap. I twisted the lid on to shake it and accidentally sealed it. TIGHT!! I’ve tried everything, EVERYTHING!! I didn’t want to dent the lid, but you can see where I tapped it on the edges, trying to break the seal. It’s one of the few old jars I found that an actual screw lid fits on. Plus, I found this gallon jar whole!! In a dump at an old homestead property Uncle Allen and I found. He later passed away. This item in my kitchen always makes me think of him and smile. I didn’t want to break it. I was starting to lose it. I had one of those battery operated jar opener gizmo’s. The third attempt with it literally broke it!! Poor thing it just groaned and groaned and then snap!!! One of the gripper arms broke off. I decided to go to Amazon for help. Read tons of reviews. This little thing had positive reviews. But to me, it looked pretty flimsy but I was ready to try anything. When it arrived, I opened it immediately. I was so very surprised! It felt quite weighty in my hand. It is actually heavy duty and guess what, the first try, FIRST TRY, opened it right up!! GRATITUDE!!! Check out the picture. It’s crazy when you think about it. I dug down about 18 inches of dirt and found a bunch of old fencing wire. I pulled that wire out and under it were several glass and ceramic things. This was there, whole, with the brown, horrible looking liquid something in it. Took me all morning, but I finally got it out. Now it’s a wonderful memory in my kitchen.

My Hands Are Grateful for This!
As someone with weaker grip strength, I was genuinely excited to try this jar opener, and it didn’t disappoint. We all have that one jar that seems impossible to open, and this little gadget made a noticeable difference. It gives you a much better grip, so you don’t have to struggle or ask someone else for help. I tested it on everything from pickle jars to pasta sauce and even a stubborn salsa jar. It worked well on different lid sizes and felt sturdy in my hand. It’s also compact enough to tuck into a kitchen drawer without taking up much space. I appreciate that it’s simple—no complicated parts or learning curve. Just grab it, fit it over the lid, and twist. If you have arthritis, reduced hand strength, or just get tired of wrestling with tight lids, this is a practical kitchen tool that’s worth having. I’m happy to keep it in my kitchen and would definitely recommend it.

You Need This.
Y'all. This thing is amazing. My old ass hands are not only small, but weak. This is a game changer. It took me a minute to figure out how to use it (I'm a genius), but it's really great. Only complaint is that it doesn't work on stuff that's not flat on top. My damned water bottle taunts me.
