Fun and fast to learn, worth getting the expansions!
A hit with the whole family. I honestly usually prefer getting cooperative games so we don't have to compete against each other (my teens are 13months apart, there is enough bickering without added competition lol), but this one feels light-hearted enough and moves quickly enough that people don't get *too* frustrated. My middle boy usually has a tough time concentrating on board games and rarely wants to play them, but he enjoys this one a lot. My youngest loves board games and often plays games that are far more complex, but this game still engages him equally. The game itself is small and easy to pack up, the instructions are alright (there were some questions we had that were not fully answered) and overall the game is easy to learn, which is a plus for me. The game itself is adorable, the little wooden meeples are cute, the board itself is small and folds up itty bitty, which is nice, and even the cardboard parts are good quality. The cards do scuff easily so I will probably get the sleeves. I purchased this and the Ness is More expansion for my youngest for Christmas, and it was a fantastic gift that the whole family has enjoyed. In fact, two days after Christmas we ordered the Culture expansion. My middle boy is holding out hope for an expansion with a Windego for the future, pretty please? Overall well-made, affordable, fun game that everyone has enjoyed thus far.

Strategy and chance, good looking, and fun for many ages
We're really enjoying this! This was a birthday gift for my 13-year-old. We love playing games as a family, but I was nervous about this possibly being too complex or taking too long. A video tutorial got us going fast and now we can knock out a fun game in a half-hour. We occasionally run into "well, what do we do if the card's intentions are ambiguous?", but it's easy to resolve I'm a way that's fair to everyone. It's high quality, and interesting to look at. The game play moves fast enough that we don't get bored while others take their turns. It's repetitive enough that you don't have to constantly check instructions but challenging enough that it doesn't get boring because what you need to "collect" changes each "day." My son and I try to be strategic. My husband doesn't. My son consistently wins, but my husband is often second, so this is a mix of chance and strategy which makes it fair to multiple ages. We're getting the expansion packs soon.

Can't get enough!
If you're looking for a cozy little game to play between rounds of Arkham Horror or after you've played some Root, then you found the perfect game. Twisted cryptid is about you, a local cryptid, trying to build your legend. Your goal? Become the greatest legend of them all. The legendary legend. The true legend. A creature of myth. My friends and I love this game and we play quite regularly to the point that I had to buy as many expansions as I could. The game comes with a booklet that tells you how to play and each expansion expands on the rules to tell you how to use the new components. Once you read through it once or twice, it's pretty easy to get the hang of. I would say this game is good for ages 10 and up because it is a strategy game and does require a little bit of reading. The box is fantastic and gorgeous and I just can't get enough of this game!

instructions are a little bit daunting but the game is actually very fun
My family likes this game and will be purchasing further expansions. The instructions are a little bit hard to follow but once you start playing it becomes really easy. Try to finish one round and you will be set to play the next four rounds with much more ease. The cryptid theme is right down my nephew's alley so he is really happy with this game. The box is beautiful and the design is elegant. It is a very good price and fun. It also teaches you a little bit of a cryptids and does have a little bit of strategy involved. We are still figuring it out but we like what we played so far
