Customer reviews

Best tripod I’ve had
Okay so I JUST got this in the mail like 20 minutes ago, but I was very excited to see if it was actually good quality. I got the 74” all black option, normally $39.99 but on sale for $33.99. I was honestly expecting to return it, and I’ve been looking at quite a few tripods that were over $100 but I really didn’t want to spend that much. My last tripod came with my camera, and it was very flimsy and broke a long time ago. Ive been putting off buying one because most reviews talk about it not lasting long, but this one seems AWESOME so far. For starters, the bag it comes in is actually a pretty nice zippered bag, they included 2 of the camera clips which is huge bc those can break easily (at least from other brands), and they included a phone mount attachment, which is super helpful to have. It also came with all the little handles to screw into place, and sturdy little feet to screw onto the bottom of each leg of the tripod. Granted this is only the second tripod I’ve ever owned, but it is by far the best and I out loud said “wow” multiple times because I’m so insanely impressed with how sturdy and high quality it seems to be. The legs extend 4 times, and the camera can be cranked up to be even taller than I am. It is very compact in the bag, super super easy to figure out and put together (took me maybe 5 minutes but would’ve taken less time if I wasn’t ooo-ing and awww-ing the whole time LOL). So far it seems very stable, even with my camera on it. The legs are a BIT stiff to extend/collapse back in, but if anything that just attests to the stability and how sturdy it is, so I’m not complaining about that at all! Just be careful and don’t force it of course. I noticed that the reviews have most things checked off for good across all the reviews, with the exception of “ease of release” but I had no issues with the release mechanism. It kept my camera sturdy and in place but releases very smoothly when you pull the little lever. I can’t say enough how impressed I am with this thing, and I’m very grateful they charged such a reasonable price for it. If anything changes about my opinion I’ll update this, but thus far it seems super versatile and stable/sturdy, and very functional, and I’m really excited to have such a high quality tripod for the price! I’m going on a trip to the mountains soon and I’m so excited to try to get some good long exposure pictures of the stars, I’ll try to remember to update this review with a few good pics of that! 12/10 would recommend, this is a great product and I’m just stoked to have such a great tripod **this is NOT a paid review, these are all my 100% honest opinions. I’m not one to write reviews unless I really love a product or strongly dislike it, and I truly love this tripod so far!!!**

Great Value.
I bought this to take a few hundred photos with my phone's camera indoors. And for that purpose, it is fantastic. What put it over the top for me was the little remote that allows me to take the picture from a distance. Having both the ability to keep the camera fixed in on single spot and being able to take the pic from somewhere other than in back of the tripod was huge time saver. The height on this tripod is also helpful for providing different options. I found the weight and thickness of the posts perfect for my purposes. Being made out of aluminum, I am not sure how this would do outside in higher wind conditions, but for normal weather, I think it would be just fine. It is certainly stable on its feet. It comes with a bag - which is really helpful. The remote is tiny and easy to misplace. There is also an extra mount in the package. Both of which can be easily kept safe in the bag in between uses. It is worth noting that you do need to detach the head fit everything in the bag. The universal phone holder will work with most phones. It is tension clamp, so that might rule out some foldable designs. An important point about the clamp is that the tension is significant. It is not going to damage the phone, but it takes two hands and some focus to safely remove the phone. I paid less than $40 for this and that is outstanding for something of this caliber. It does all the basic things you want a tripod to do and does them well. It is not intended to professionals and at some point, it's lightweight and lower cost materials will hit their limits.

Good value, very happy with my purchase
Caveat: I received it today, and have only set it up to learn how it works, as I've never used a tripod before. Real-world operation may reveal issues I haven't encountered yet. That said, it seems to be everything I was hoping for. I own a Nikon D3000, with a telephoto lens, and it held it rock-steady even with the lens fully extended (something I noticed was listed as an issue in a few of the other reviews). To be clear, there is a very small washer included in the plastic bag holding the handle with the screwdriver grip, which is also what holds/releases the horizontal movement - it's quite possible the other reviewers didn't notice it (I nearly didn't), and couldn't get a firm hold without that extra bit of pressure. It seems reasonably sturdy; the catches holding the legs are easy to operate, as is the quick-release pad. The included phone holder also appears to be well made, and grips my phone nicely - a bonus, as it has a case that often makes that a real issue with other phone holders. It's also fairly lightweight, and the included case seems to be at least water-resistant, with a fairly long strap for cross-body carrying. All in all, very happy with my purchase. Will update if I encounter any unexpected issues, but so far, I don't anticipate that being necessary.

LOTS of features for great price, impressive construction
I was quite surprised by the features on this inexpensive tripod. It has a nice zipper bag. It's plenty tall. There's a hook on the bottom of the main tube for a stabilizing weight for outdoor shooting. It comes with a fairly standard panhead plus a mount for cell phones (also includes an extra base for the cell phone mount that can clip on in four directions instead of only one or two). Rather than a slotted screw to loosen and tighten the mount to a camera or the phone mount, there's a flip-up grip underneath. There's a bubble level just below the panhead mount. The rubber feet are mounted on ball joints so they can rotate to floor or ground position for extra stability, and each one has a knurled flange for better grip when mounting or removing. It also has an attached pop-up handle for easy carrying. Admittedly, this is just a first impression, but I am quite taken by its features. I'm trying it out this afternoon, so more later.
