Better than they say
ORIGINAL REVIEW (12-15-23): I wanted to casually get into collecting vinyl records, especially to play for family around Christmastime. I had a friend who recommended me one of these, and against my better judgement, I sought out other opinions online. It's insane how the vocal record vinyl community online is so hostile to these things. There's (disproven) claims about how it'll damage the records you play, claims that they're poorly built (no issues here), and lots of claims about the sound quality being tinny (again, not true). This thing (I got the red one) looks really nice and fits perfectly on a stand I built. The records play perfectly, the sound quality is really good considering the price. Maybe I have weird ears or something but I'm not hearing any tinny audio. I'm really glad I went with this purchase; it's gonna make Christmas this year feel really cozy! Don't listen to the gatekeepy pompous guys telling you how dangerous and bad these things are for your records. The whole "they'll damage your records!" thing is a disproven lie. Just go for it. You won't be disappointed! EDIT (9-22-24): Figured I'd do a little update here. There's been no issues with this player after nearly a year of daily use. Only thing I did was swap the needle out with a diamond tipped one, which was dirt cheap and super easy to do. It was the center of attention for Christmas last year, and will provide cozy Christmas vibes again during this upcoming one. Once again, definitely worth the price! EDIT: (12-24-25) Quick update 'cause why not? Player is STILL working perfectly. Just used it again today for Christmas, and it's just as good as when I first bought it. It gets used year round too, so it's not like it only gets used once a year or anything like that. My family loves it; it's become an incredibly important part of our Christmas Eve get together, hearing the warm Christmastime tunes from it. Still incredibly happy with the purchase, and I still recommend it!

Fast, easy, quick setup! Colorful cases! Great sound!
Fast, easy, quick setup! Colorful cases! Great sound! Fantastic gift idea for someone with records and hasn't bothered buying a needling in 25 years. Some prior knowledge would be good, but the manual does a pretty good job how to get started. The little speakers work great, but the record player sounds even better on a 400-watt system!
