Record player sounds great
SEE THE END OF THIS REVIEW FOR SIMPLIFIED INSTRUCTIONS. This record player works well. I have a whole collection of records from my grandparents that I can bring to life! My kids have been enjoying vintage originals from Disney and it is such a joy. As someone who has never set up a record player before, I struggled with the instructions provided. Below you will find simplified instructions. SIMPLE RECORD PLAYER SETUP GUIDE (BEGINNER FRIENDLY) ⸻ 🧰 BEFORE YOU START Make sure you have: * Turntable (main unit) * Platter (the round metal disc) * Rubber belt (thin band) * Felt mat * Counterweight (small heavy piece for the tonearm) * Power cord * Speakers (or amplifier + speakers) * RCA cables (red/white) ⸻ 🔌 STEP 1: CONNECT POWER & SPEAKERS Power 1. Plug the power adapter into the back of the turntable. 2. Plug it into a wall outlet. Audio (IMPORTANT) Choose ONE option: Option A: Powered Speakers (easiest) * Plug RCA cables (red & white) from turntable → speakers Option B: Amplifier/Receiver * Plug RCA cables from turntable → amplifier input * Then speakers connect to amplifier 👉 Set switch to: * LINE = powered speakers * PHONO = amplifier with phono input ⸻ 🧱 STEP 2: INSTALL THE PLATTER & BELT 1. Place the platter onto the center spindle. 2. Flip platter slightly or look through holes: * You’ll see the motor pulley (small metal post). 3. Stretch the rubber belt: * Around the inner ring of the platter * Then hook it onto the motor pulley 4. Spin the platter by hand a few times to make sure: * Belt is straight * No twists 5. Place the felt mat on top. ⸻ ⚖️ STEP 3: SET UP THE TONEARM (VERY IMPORTANT) Attach Counterweight 1. Screw the counterweight onto the back of the tonearm. 2. Turn it until it feels secure (don’t force it). ⸻ Balance the Tonearm 1. Unlock the tonearm from its clip. 2. Hold it gently so it doesn’t swing. 3. Turn the counterweight: * Until the tonearm floats level (not up or down) 👉 This is the most important step. ⸻ Set Tracking Force 1. Once balanced, hold the weight still. 2. Turn ONLY the numbered dial to 0 3. Now turn the whole counterweight to: 👉 1.75 grams (or between 1.5–2.0 if unclear) ⸻ Set Anti-Skate * Set anti-skate dial to the same number: 👉 1.75 ⸻ 🎚️ STEP 4: SPEED SETTING Choose correct speed for your record: * 33 RPM → most albums (LPs) * 45 RPM → smaller records (singles) ⸻ ▶️ STEP 5: PLAY A RECORD 1. Place record on platter 2. Turn power ON 3. Select speed (33 or 45) 4. Lift tonearm using the lever 5. Move it over the record 6. Lower it gently 🎶 Music should start ⸻ 🔄 STEP 6: STOP PLAYING 1. Lift tonearm using lever 2. Move it back to the rest 3. Lock it in place 4. Turn power off ⸻ ⚠️ COMMON MISTAKES (IMPORTANT) * ❌ No sound → wrong LINE/PHONO setting * ❌ Skipping → tracking force not set correctly * ❌ No spinning → belt not connected to motor * ❌ Distorted sound → stylus dirty or worn ⸻ 🔁 STYLUS (NEEDLE) REPLACEMENT Replace after ~400 hours or if sound is bad. 1. Turn power OFF 2. Hold cartridge 3. Pull stylus forward and down 4. Push new one in until it clicks ⸻ 🚚 MOVING THE TURNTABLE Before moving: * Remove platter + mat * Secure tonearm * Protect stylus * Wrap everything separately ⸻ 🧼 BASIC CARE * Keep dust off records + stylus * Don’t touch needle * Keep turntable level * Avoid vibrations ⸻ ✅ QUICK CHECKLIST Before first play: ✔ Belt installed ✔ Platter spins freely ✔ Counterweight balanced ✔ Tracking force set (~1.75) ✔ Anti-skate matches ✔

Great sound and features
The turntable amplifier and Bluetooth receiver unit is nicely compact. The main unit measures about 6 inches tall, roughly 18 inches wide, and approximately 15 inches deep when the control knobs are included. It delivers very good sound, especially when paired with these efficient, low-power speakers. The unit looks sharp and compact enough that it would not seem out of place being used strictly as a turntable feeding a larger amplifier or transmitting audio via Bluetooth, which is a very cool and flexible feature that larger all-in-one units often lack. The included speakers sound great and have a compact, well-proportioned cabinet measuring roughly 6 1/4 inches wide, 10 inches tall, and about 5 3/4 inches deep. The main driver uses a sensitive paper cone that really shines with vinyl playback. Vocals and guitars come through with a natural warmth and clarity that feels very authentic. The primary driver is a 4 inch cone, although the overall frame measures closer to 4 1/2 inches. It is definitely larger than the typical 3 1/2 inch drivers found in many small bookshelf speakers. The tweeter is a 1 inch dome and blends well without sounding harsh or overly bright. On the rear is a bass reflex port with a 1 inch opening. The porting helps extend the low end and adds presence to the overall sound. I found that keeping the speakers about 10 inches from the rear wall produced the best bass response. The speaker cabinets appear to be unfilled internally, but the exterior leather-wrapped finish looks excellent. The textured surface hides minor dings and dust well, and the color has a nice flat appearance. I chose the white version, which is a clean ivory white that looks very sharp and gives it an upscale appearance. Many people enjoy vinyl for its classic sound, and the paper cone drivers contribute strongly to that warm, realistic character, especially at lower listening volumes. Power requirements are modest, yet the system still sounds full and engaging. With built-in Bluetooth included, this setup works well as a complete music system for the right space. The turntable itself uses a time-tested, reliable belt-drive design. It runs quietly and plays accurately. I enjoyed pulling out my old records and spending time with this turntable, as it brought back some great memories for the two weeks I have been using it. This system provides plenty of sound for a dorm room or an apartment-sized living room and delivers a satisfying balance of convenience and classic analog character.

Great sound
Got this one and one with internal speakers. This by far has much better quality sound with the outside speakers.
