Great for Short Day-Trips

My collection of backpacks is quite large at this point. But each bag is suited for certain situations so it's good to have a variety, just in case. The one type that gets used the most are my little day packs that I use when on vacations, on short hikes, or when I just need to hold small things like water, jacket, papers while out and about. One of the bags has taken a beating and I was on the lookout for another. This 10L backpack turned out to be an awesome size to replace my old one. This one is more padded inside the compartments which was a nice surprise. The padding adds a little thickness and bulk to it, but does provide structure and stiffness so it stands a bit better. There are two zippered compartments on this bag with a main compartment and a smaller front zipping pocket. The main one has the storage pocket in it which holds the whole thing when you fold it up. For reference sake, I believe I could fit a bowling ball in the main compartment and maybe a pair of kids bowling shoes. The zippers are sturdy, smooth and work very nicely. The outside has the usual side straps to hold water bottles, umbrellas, etc. The black bag is simple and understated so as to blend in and not stand out. It's pretty good looking, but subtle at the same time. I can imagine traveling in different international cities and not standing out like a sore thumb because of the loud day pack I was carrying. The straps are nicely made with light padding on them and I do not see any sloppy sewing or loose threads. I think the real winner on this bag is the lightweight sturdy bag material. It's more on the slick side and not at all like the rough Cordura type of book bag material. This backpack certainly does the job of holding my stuff securely , functions well and feels comfortable.
