Customer reviews

Works great!
I bought this device to monitor my home's temperature when I am not home. Setup was a snap! It took me less than 30 minutes to set up all 4 units. The devices and the app, all work great! I tested out the notifications and they worked perfectly. The app, over wifi, updates every one minute. The app has a well designed display and allows me to view a summary of my entire house all on a single screen, which is linked to a more detailed page of statistics. Wifi works great, and everything reconnects very quickly if power is lost. The initial setup does need bluetooth, but once that's done bluetooth is no longer needed. I cannot address battery life yet, but the app does display battery life for each device. The base station runs off AC power and it does come with an AC adapter. The sensors each take two AA batteries, batteries are included but I tossed those and used Duracell batteries instead. I'm very happy with this purchase, and I'd recommend X-Sense very highly.

Part of a very capable and connected X-Sense system!
I started with X-Sense fire alarm listeners to alert me if something happened. The base station came with the initial setup, which got me thinking - what else can I connect? After the fire alarm listeners, I added a Wi-Fi fire alarm in a room that didn’t have one, and then several water detectors. When I saw they had thermometers, I was excited to expand further. Installation was just as easy as the other devices. I now have them monitoring my attic (for heat), basement, home lab, and living area. The LCD is large and easy to read, even in the dark, and the accuracy seems solid (I don’t need perfection here). Considering the features and how seamlessly it integrates with an existing X-Sense system (only a single base station was needed), the value is amazing. Highly recommended!

A quality product does the job well
It looks stylish, nicely made and feels durable. I bought them for the higher accuracy and they definitely feel like something a dedicated hobbyist would use. I've have one in my home, one hanging outside, and one in the garage (separate brick building) and never noticed connectivity issues. I lost power for some hours several times but the units have internal memory and will update when they get back online. I've had them for 6 months now and the batteries (included) still say they are full.
