Description
- LORA > WIFI! YoLink devices don’t use your WiFi, ensuring no crowding or slowing down of your network. Instead, they operate with a unique LoRa-based, long-range, low-power wireless protocol. Place smart devices in areas WiFi can’t reach—outdoors, several floors away, in fridges, gun safes, or beyond WiFi range! Using YoLink’s industry-leading technology, this sensor monitors up to 1/4 mile in open air. - Temperature & Humidity Monitoring: Accurately track temperature and humidity levels with high precision, delivering regular updates to the YoLink app. Manage environmental conditions in your home, greenhouse, fridge or freezer, barn, bedroom, chicken coop, dog kennel, plant nursery, or child's nursery—anywhere you need reliable monitoring. Perfect for maintaining optimal conditions across a wide range of locations and uses. - Customizable Alerts & Notifications: Stay informed with multiple alert options! Set custom thresholds for temperature and humidity, and choose to receive alerts via text, email, or push notifications. Apple users can bypass silent mode with "Critical Alerts," while Android offers similar options. SMS messages are limited to the total of 5 times each device plus 5. A hub and one sensor provides you with 15 free SMS per month. - Battery-Powered with Extended Lifespan: Powered by two AA batteries, the sensor delivers up to 5 years of continuous operation, depending on usage and environmental conditions. Receive real-time low battery alerts via the YoLink app, ensuring you're notified when it’s time for a replacement. Designed for convenience, its long-lasting battery life minimizes the need for frequent replacements, making it perfect for hard-to-reach areas and critical monitoring applications. - IFTTT & Alexa Integration: trigger IFTTT applets based on high or low temperature set points reached (when device alerts). Voice query Alexa for the temperature (only; humidity not supported at this time). Triggering Alexa routines is not supported at this time. - Commercial-Grade Accuracy and Wide Environmental Range: Designed for precise environmental monitoring, YoLink Thermometer Hygrometer delivers temperature accuracy of ±0.36°F (0°C to 54°C) and ±0.72°F (-20°C to 0°C), and humidity accuracy of ±3% (10%-90% range). It measures temperatures from -4°F to 129°F (-20°C to 54°C) and humidity from 0% to 100%, ensuring stable performance in various environments, whether in cooler temperatures or warmer conditions.

Customer reviews

Yolink hit it out of the park with this!
This is an amazing system! So far, I've just got the hub and 3 temp & humidity sensors. Simply put: they work flawlessly. I use them in my greenhouse, on the shaded patio, and in my living room. The patio sensor controls my HVAC with high & low temperature alarms that are directly readable by Alexa. Each sensor lets me choose temperature points below or above which will send a high or low temp alarm signal to Alexa (the software calls it Motion Sensing, because their ecosystem probanly has motion sensors, too, andbuses this alarm function). At first, I had a Rube Goldberg-type Frankensystem setup using IFTTT to read those alarms and then, through some other software, it would activate one of two Alexa Routines I wrote. Complicated, but it usually worked. After the first hub software update, lo! and behold: the sensors' alarms are now directly readable by Alexa when assigning a Routine trigger in Alexa's Smart Home trigger choices. These temp & humidity sensors can be set to poll every 10 to 60 minutes, and mine send the simple high or low temp alarm to Alexa, which, in turn, communicates with my wifi-enabled mini-splits or smart boiler thermostat. Above 51°, the mini-splits come on at the temperature I pre-selected for each of its 4 heads. Below 50°, the mini-splits go off and the boiler thermostat is reset to the comfort level I've preset there. I would have gladly paid hundreds to have a reliable sensor system like this. These were less than $40, if I recall. For our utilities in Montana, that seems like the cost-effective point to make the decision for gas or electric heating, but I'm still experimenting. Your mileage may vary. Of course, I get temp & humidity warnings for the greenhouse, as well, when humidity is too high or low, as an added bonus! If my heater out there goes out, I can rush out to fix the situation, or water my plants, as needed. Next, I plan to add a leak detector, and have Alexa warn of leaks in my basement, to duplicate what my Insteon system already does. But the Yolink system is simpler, cheaper, and I can get verbal warnings via Alexa. When I add a whole house powered water valve, I can have Yolink to turn off the valve. This system has given me peace of mind, and saves me money! Signal strength is amazing, even from my greenhouse, way in the back yard, and with steel siding on my house! Sensor-to-hub is not in the wifi band, so there's no neighborhood interference, either. So am I happy with these? Thrilled!!

Excellent Sensors for Monitoring Beehive Temp/Humidity!! Excellent Range too. Highly recommend! ^^
These work great!! I have these YoLink Hygrometers in my beehives so I can monitor their temperature & humidity. I'm in sunny Florida, and these sensors work great outdoors. The ones I bought have a "5-year battery life," so I'm happy about that and I haven't had any issues to report as it pertains to the battery life of the sensors... so far, so good! Overall, I highly recommend these YoLink sensors, especially for beekeepers concerned about their bees getting too cold/too hot/too humid, etc... they truly give you peace of mind in knowing your bees aren't overheating, freezing, or whatever the case may be. The pricing seems fair for what you get, and they're also extremely easy to use & setup. One last thing: although my sensors do seem accurate when it comes to the temperature, you can also change each sensor's temp reading for better accuracy just in case they're a bit off, so I really appreciate they added this feature into the YoLink App. Very happy with this purchase! :)

Very useful and accurate sensors.
These are nice. Easy to set up. The app works well on my iPhone and once you figure out how to name and organize the sensors (I now have 5 temperature sensors) it is very easy to monitor temperature histories, set alarms, and relocate/rename sensors. Two of my sensors are the ones that display temperature and humidity on the device itself, and that is handy for certain locations. I use those on the chicken coop and greenhouse. Maintaining proper temperature for young chicks is crucial and the sensors in the coop and run were very helpful there. Also, I take Humira for RA and those syringes must be cooled but never allowed to freeze. I put one sensor there and learned that the bottom fridge drawer was approaching freezing sometimes (whereas the fridge said 37 degrees) so I moved the medicine to a higher shelf. The alarm gives me peace of mind.

Easy, efficient, and gives me so much peace of mind!
I bought after a cold snap caused some pipes to freeze in my crawlspace area. These allow me to monitor the temps accurately and will even alert me when the temps hit the temp that I set to be a warning to me! Now I find out that they offer Water Leak detector units that are compatible with the Hub I already have for the Thermometer/Hydrometer! I am thrilled. If you have an older home or cold spots I highly recommend these for ease of set up, accuracy, and the peace of mind they give me. I will write another update when I get the Water Leak ones to let you know if the compatibility is as seamless as the initial set up!
