Lid has changed for the worse but still the best
I have older Zojirushi bottles and the entire lid structure is much better quality than this newer design. The plastic is nicer, the button to open it is metallic, the lock slides more positively into position. They've redesigned it, and it's much lighter weight, which isn't really a bad thing. The entire gaskets on both the bottle side and the top are redesigned, and the lower gasket is no longer completely removable for cleaning. It's apparently glued in place. They do offer parts for these, but it's rarely worth it and you'd be better buying a whole new unit. Despite all that, it's still absolutely amazing at keeping liquids hot or cold. Cold water, all day, no question that it'll be ice cold and still have as much ice as you put in. It holds ice for DAYS, in a 70 degree house. It's actually silly that you can forget about it sitting somewhere and find it 3 days later and it's still got ice in it. I actually took the temp of the water with the kitchen thermometer and it was 33.3 degrees. That's really cold water still. I only use the small one I have (the old design) for hot coffee, and hot doesn't last like ice does, but if you take it to work and open it at noon, your coffee is going to be too hot to drink. It just amazes me how well it holds temperature. After a couple weeks using it, I don't mind the redesign. It's much lighter (the empty bottle feels like it would be super cheap by the weight), the lid obviously does its job really well, and the new cup design is actually quite a bit better to drink from, and to pour from. Still a 5-star item and the price has always been reasonable.

The Best Thermos Ever — Lightweight, Durable, and Perfectly Engineered
Zojirushi is one of my all-time favorite brands — not just because it’s made in Japan, but because of the thoughtful design and precise engineering they put into every product. I own several Zojirushi items, including a rice cooker, a hot water dispenser, and a few thermos bottles. This is my fourth thermos bottle of the same size, and it continues to impress me. The first thing you’ll notice is how incredibly lightweight it is — you can literally feel the difference in your hand. The interior is coated, which prevents any metallic taste and keeps water tasting fresh. The opening mechanism is smooth and secure, with a lockable lid that makes it spill-proof. There’s even a small lip inside the cap, a brilliant design feature that prevents water from rushing out too quickly when you drink. Every part of this thermos is easy to disassemble and dishwasher-safe. The paint finish is durable and long-lasting, showing no signs of chipping even after frequent washing. Inside, Zojirushi uses a highly advanced vacuum insulation technology — and it truly works. I’ve tested this bottle alongside Stanley and other popular brands, and Zojirushi consistently outperforms them. It keeps water cold for more than three days, something I’ve confirmed through repeated personal use. Hands down, this is the best thermos you can buy — exceptionally engineered, lightweight, and built to last. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a premium-quality, reliable thermos bottle. Keep it up, Zojirushi — your products make everyday life better.

Best of the best!
I purchased a Zojirushi rice cooker many years ago and I’ve been using it ever since. That type of brand dependability is what Zojirushi has held for many many years now. When I was looking for a quality insulated cup for my morning coffee, all of the “popular” brands were recommended. I don’t want what’s popular, I want what will last; buy it for life level of quality. Zojirushi’s GoCafe has met every need that I have. Great price for a product that will keep your drinks hot or cold for a very long time. Easy to drink from and secure. Easy to disassemble and clean. The durability is absolutely amazing; this cup has fallen on the floor multiple times and not a single scratch or dent.

Great thermos for my coffee
This thermos is so great! It's lightweight - it doesn't leak - it keeps my coffee very hot all morning. I was worried the switch to lock the lid would be annoying, but it hasn't been an issue. It hasn't leaked and I am pretty tough in throwing it around in my work bag. I have been very happy with this purchase, gratefully able to replace my old trusty that finally needed to be replaced. It's a little wider than the regular model. It fits the small HF silicone boots, which is great since I have a bunch. I'm considering buying another one in another color because I love it so much.
